HAUTE COUTURE 2015 SIRENS
Sirens...
Beautiful creatures with divine voices, responsible for numerous shipwrecks. Bird-women who lure sailors with their enchanting singing and beauty onto the rocks.
With her new haute couture clothing collection "Sirens" Margarita Kozak delves into one of the most captivating figures of ancient mythology. What did these mythical femme fatales of the ancient world look like? And how do modern sirens, living among us, appear?
The "Sirens" collection by Margarita Kozak showcases satin evening dresses that accentuate the seductive silhouette of the female body. The satin base of the dresses is entirely covered with bead-embroidered mesh. The pattern of the embroidered elements resembles tiny bird feathers.
The semi-transparent layered tulle skirts serve as a symbol of the elusive nature of mythical sirens. Margarita Kozak emphasizes the attraction of inaccessibility by placing the collection's most striking elements on the tulle - hand-crocheted fluffy feathers, made using the designer's original technique. The placement of these voluminous knitted details on the exquisite female form adds the necessary touch of eroticism to each individual ensemble in the collection.
The portrait of modern sirens is completed with the addition of huge fluffy knitted earrings by Margarita Kozak and imaginative makeup incorporating elements of beaded lace.
