SPRING/SUMMER 2012 FOLK-START

Margaryta Kozak's pret-a-porter collection "Folk-Start" is dedicated to "Euro-2012". According to the designer, hosting the championship has given Ukraine a unique opportunity to showcase its rich culture to the world, with one important aspect being the national costume. Therefore, ethnic motifs in clothing design are particularly relevant today.

In shaping the fashionable ethnic image, the designer offers skirts with modern silhouettes made of jacquard fabric, reminiscent of traditional patterns. The ethnic theme is further developed through the use of belts decorated with braided ropes and wooden beads. The designer also recommends silk dresses and blouses adorned with traditional-style embroidery and lace.

The collection was specifically created to participate in the International Fashion and Style Festival "Chance Witnesses" (Zaporizhia, 2012).
