2001 WALTZ OF FLOWERS

2001 WALTZ OF FLOWERS

The first collection of Margarita Kozak, "Waltz of Flowers," debuted on the runway on April 28, 2001. The designer drew inspiration from the waltz in Pyotr Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker," which shares the same name.

The entire collection is completely handmade. Dress fragments and all the flowers were crocheted. The knitted elements of the dresses delicately complemented by chiffon, creating an unexpected semi-transparent fusion that gave the collection a touch of refined sensuality. Each model harbored a mystery that captivated gazes, yet unraveling it is not an easy task!

A distinctive feature of Margarita Kozak's style is her heightened attention to accessories. In the "Waltz of Flowers" collection this is knitted hats, gloves, flower earrings, as well as a completely unexpected element: elegant knitted hoods on evening gowns.

The "Waltz of Flowers" collection received the following awards:

  • Special prize from the organizing committee of the 5th International Fashion Festival "Seasons - Spring Rendezvous 2002" (Odessa).
  • First place at the Second All-Ukrainian Competition of Design Schools in Ukraine "Design-Education 2003" (Kharkiv).
