On a beautiful summer day, in a magnificent restaurant-hotel complex located on top of a mountain in one of the most picturesque places in Catalonia, not far from Barcelona, a presentation of Ukrainian designers showroom took place.
The initiator of this project was fashion producer Olga Plyuta, the founder and President of the International Fashion and Style Festival "Accidental Witnesses", which has been held annually in Zaporizhia since 2007.
Thanks to Margarita Kozak, the event guests had a rare opportunity for the residents of Spain to get acquainted with Ukrainian culture and history. This refers to the showcase of a unique clothing collection by Margarita Kozak, made of hand-painted silk called "Dances over the Bug River". The basis of the dresses presented in this collection are ethnographic paintings by the renowned Ukrainian batik artist Nadiya Boretska. On the flowing silk of these unique dress-paintings, the Cossack Mamay, a young bride in a traditional wedding dress and ordinary Ukrainian women in national costumes come to life.
The local businesswomen who participated in the show as models did an excellent job and showcased their true Spanish temperament!
