The presentation of a unique collaborative cloth collection by Ukrainian designers participating in the "Fashion Globus Ukraine" project took place at the Pennsylvania Hotel in New York as part of New York Fashion Week.
The clothing collection titled "Most Beloved," brought together the works of twenty clothing and accessory designers from all over Ukraine, who created twelve capsule collections, each representing a specific historical region of our country. The capsule collection representing the modern fashionable image of Ukrainian Polissya was created by Margarita Kozak from Zhytomyr.
Creatively reinterpreting the traditional women's costume characteristic of Polissya, Margarita Kozak created its modern version. Among the other eleven mini-collections that make up the collective clothing collection "Most Beloved" five looks by Margarita Kozak stand out for the breadth of expressive means employed by the designer.
Fashionable skirts with opposing pleats are sewn from heavy jacquard fabrics. They harmoniously coexist with delicate semi-transparent knitted and chiffon blouses. Each blouse presented in the collection has its own unique handmade finishing touch, such as delicate floral embroidery, voluminous chiffon flowers and traditional-style wooden beadwork. The central model of the collection - an embroidered wedding dress in a folk style with a plahta and a wide laced belt - is equally lavishly adorned. But it has its own unique finishing detail - Swarovski crystals play the role of dewdrops on its embroidered poppies.
Colorful handmade necklaces created specifically for this collection were made by a Lviv-based accessories designer Oksana Sheremeta.
