2015.02.12 NYFW preview catwalk

The preview catwalk of the unique collaborative collection of Ukrainian designers, titled "Most Beloved", took place in Terminal "D" of Boryspil International Airport. The collection was created by participants of the project "Fashion Globus Ukraine" specifically for the showcase at New York Fashion Week, which will take place on February 19. The vice-president of the Confederation of Ukrainian Designers, Golda Vinohradska, was the organizer of this large-scale project.

For the first time in the history of domestic fashion, not just a collection by a Ukrainian clothing designer will be presented at one of the four most important global fashion events of the year, but a comprehensive fashion image of Ukraine. "Most Beloved" consists of twelve capsule collections, each representing a different region of our country.

Designer Margarita Kozak represents Ukrainian Polissya in "Fashion Globus Ukraine" project. Her collection of five looks is an author's interpretation of the traditional clothing of this region of Ukraine.

The collection includes delicate crocheted lace blouses made seamlessly by hand using the designer's own technique, as well as sheer chiffon blouses with open shoulders. All blouses offered by the designer are stylistically united by elegant lace trim, wooden beads and voluminous chiffon flowers in Margarita Kozak's recognizable style.

The silhouettes typical for the Polissya traditional costume are created by the designer through long and short skirts made of jacquard fabric. Their luxurious heaviness creates a striking contrast with the airy lightness of the blouses.

As the central model of the collection, Margarita Kozak presented an embroidered with poppies wedding dress. The delicately white chiffon bridal dress is complemented by elements of the Ukrainian traditional costume, including lace-trimmed plahta and a wide embroidered belt.

Especially for Margarita Kozak's clothing collection, an accessories designer from Lviv Oksana Sheremeta, created exclusive handmade necklaces for each presented model.

The hairstylists for Margarita Kozak's show are Alesia Humenyuk and Irina Rekhlyuk.
